LA LA ....
After San Diego...drove to LA for a lil work and relaxation...stayed at the amazing Mondrian hotel on sunset...the hotel is nice but the scene is way too much for my taste (very hollywood)... my room however was double the size of my apt in NYC (living room, bar area, a mirror that turned into a swivel flat screen tv/dvd..dope! ) and it was nice to hang by the pool with the ladies...even if I got a lil sick...I luv Cali weather but I miss NYC soooo much!

Christy Turlington's stunning new shoot in the August issue of W magazine, titled "Champion" is awesome...The 39-year-old knockout, who has been re-signed as the face of German fashion house Escada, poses as a "Greco-Roman warrior-goddess" for photog Michael Thompson in old-school black-and-white. Talk about classical beauty - obviously all that yoga and being married to Ed Burns agrees with her. ..I want those boots!

Audi Symphony
To launch the Audi R8 in Brazil, Bullet created a launch event, "The Art of Performance," which combined an orchestra of 41 musicians, one maestro and three Djs from the German Bauhouse group along with visual wizardry from Campana to create a performance masterpiece.
Masterpiece is the right word to describe this effort. Like an orchestrally-choreographed movie score, this aural and visual extravaganza is perfectly timed and does a nice job illustrating the car's finer points.

A banner ad with a punch
Here's an ad banner that packs a lot into a small space. In tandem with the promotion of green energy site ReGeneration and it's tie in with the Dell Graffiti Facebook contest, Federated Media created an ad unit that incorporates a video player which shows the winning designs, rotating headlines from the ReGeneration site and a "more" button which delivers a slide up menu with options to share, subscribe, embed or download.
It's a lot of functionality built into one banner but it works very nicely. After one of the design videos plays, the viewer is presented with thumbnails of the other winners which, if clicked, will play within the banner.

BK's first Boutique hotel
The Nu Hotel is billed as Downtown Brooklyn's first boutique hotel. The 93-room, newly built hotel was designed by Datumzero Design Office and has guest rooms in three styles, the Nu Standard, the Nu Friends Suite, and the Nu Urban Suite. The Nu Friends Suites are equipped with bunk beds and modular furniture and Nu Urban Suites feature a cozy bed niche with leather surroundings, a sitting area and custom hammocks. Rooms have cork flooring, organic bedding materials and custom furnishings crafted from FSC- certified, sustainably harvested teak wood. Rooms also include 32" flat-screen televisions with "jack packs" to dock audio, video and computer electronics and complementary wifi access. The bathrooms have stone and glass showers, rain head showers, Aveda bath products and chalkboard walls where guests can jot notes for housekeeping, travel companions or themselves.
Burberry Revenues Soar 26%
Brit fashion brand Burberry has announced that first-quarter revenues have risen by 26 per cent, continuing the upswing we reported on earlier this year. The growth is due to increased business in emerging markets and strong performance in North America, the Times of London reports. The uncertain economy has proved challenging to some luxury brands but not for one of my fav brands...
